The Church of the Holy Apostles 296 9th Ave, New York, NY, United StatesEleven women were ordained priests at the Church of the Advocate in Philadelphia, PA on July 29, 1974. It was an act of civil disobedience that changed the Episcopal Church and challenged the patriarchy within it. 50 years later, a new documentary titled The Philadelphia Eleven tells the story of this historic event. Please join us for a Parish Forum following the 11 am service to discuss this important documentary and event in the Episcopal Church.
