Good Corporate Citizen: Chelsea Market

11.23.21 | Food for the Soul

Thanksgiving is a busy time at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen. We host our annual Thanksgiving fundraiser (Fast-a-Thon), we distribute turkeys to our pantry guests, and we prepare holiday feasts for our Sunday Supper and Daily Soup Kitchen Meal Service programs. During this time of year, our partners are essential in helping us to reach our goals and providing meals for those in need.

This year, our neighbor and Good Corporate Citizen partner, Chelsea Market, stepped up and supported the Soup Kitchen in many ways. As part of our Fast-a-Thon fundraiser, they matched $20,000 in donations over the last week of the campaign. They also provided 500 turkeys for our pantry program, helping us ensure that every family who visited us last week has everything they need for their holiday meal.

As a neighbor of the Soup Kitchen, Chelsea Market has been an essential partner to us, especially during the holiday season. We asked their team about what giving back at the Soup Kitchen means to them: “Giving back at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen has been a meaningful experience for the team at Chelsea Market. We’re grateful to be able to support our community in this way, and we love brightening up families’ holidays with our annual turkey donation.”

We’re thankful for our partners at Chelsea Market who helped provide so many meals for New Yorkers in need this Thanksgiving. To learn more about how your company can become a Good Corporate Citizen, click here
