SOCIAL SUPPORT — CLASSES

A great opportunity for our guests to prepare for the workforce and learn valuable skills.

There are also opportunities to search and apply for jobs online and check emails.

Computer Classes

Gain computer skills and prepare for the workforce.

Our computer classes meet three times a week, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. This is a great way for our guests to prepare for the workforce, learn valuable skills, apply for jobs online, and check emails.

Resume & job interview coaching

Build your resume and practice interviewing with a professional.

A resume and job interview coach will soon be available to meet with students to help with their job hunt and prepare for any interviews.

Writer’s workshop

Taught by professional writers, giving our guests the power to voice their lives.

The workshop was created in 1994 by award-winning author Ian Frazier who recognized that our Soup Kitchen guests have a hunger beyond a hot meal. For many, this is the first time they have accessed their creativity. For some, this is a driving force to steer through difficult times. For a few, this has resulted in success as published writers. For all, the friendships they have found has given them a sense of belonging.
