Lenten Adult Forum Series: The Liturgies of Holy Week

Have you ever wondered about the rituals of Lent and Holy Week, such as smudging ashes on foreheads, parading around with palms, washing feet, reverencing a large cross, and lighting a new fire in the dark? Where did they come from, and why do we do them at this time of year? Join us this Lent for an exploration of the iconic rituals and worship services of the season. Learning more about these liturgies (literally, “the work of the people”) can help us all have a deeper walk of faith this year. We will meet at 10 am in Mission House 1, beginning Sunday, February 26. The series will be led by Mother Susan and Mother Anna.
