Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen’s 11th Annual Fast-a-Thon fundraiser is coming up, which rallies supporters to go hungry for a day so someone else won’t have to. This year, these efforts are more important than ever as the Soup Kitchen faces longer lines of guests in need of a hot meal or a bag of groceries and rising food costs.
Our Fast-a-Thon fundraiser provides Holy Apostles with the essential funds necessary to provide hot meals to our daily soup kitchen guests and bags of groceries to our food pantry guests throughout the year, and especially during our busiest time of year around the holidays.
Want to get involved? Participating in Fast-a-Thon is easy! We ask volunteers to pledge to eat just one meal on November 17th, the Thursday before Thanksgiving, in solidarity with our guests who often eat just one meal in a day at the Soup Kitchen. Leading up to November 17th, you’ll reach out to your family, friends, and co-workers and ask them to support your pledge by donating to your personal fundraising page.
