On Sunday, September 12, members of our community visited Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen for the first in-person meal service since March 2020 and the first Sunday Supper event since February 2020. We were thrilled to gather together again and share a meal with our neighbors.
The socially distanced Sunday Supper required proof of vaccination for guests to come inside and 60 people attended the meal. Chef Chris served a Caeser salad, pasta with summer vegetables and a cream sauce, broccoli and cauliflower with garlic, roasted chicken with mushroom gravy, and chocolate brownies for dessert.
Our Sunday Supper tradition allows families, friends, and neighbors to come together for a hot meal and fellowship. After a challenging 18 months, we are so glad we were able to serve a meal for all those in our neighborhood.
The next Sunday Supper events are on Sunday, October 10 and Sunday, November 14. We hope to see you in person soon!
