Good Corporate Citizen: JP Morgan

03.28.22 | Food for the Soul, Voices of our Community, Volunteer Stories

This March, we partnered with JP Morgan to purchase, pack, and distribute toiletry bags for our guests. Each toiletry bag included a razor, lip balm, deodorant, soap, lotion, a washcloth, socks, toothpaste, and a toothbrush.

These items are essential for our Soup Kitchen guests living on the streets or in a shelter who need to carry all their belongings with them from place to place. Our guests often request small toiletry items that they can use once or twice, and then discard.

JP Morgan’s volunteer event allowed employees to take a break from their desks and do some good throughout the afternoon. Employees stopped by a conference room at their offices and packed bags for our guests. After all the bags were packed, our Social Services department distributed them to guests as needed. This generous donation of toiletry kits will allow our guests to keep themselves clean no matter what their living situation is presently. This opportunity also allowed JP Morgan to conduct a volunteer event in their own offices, allowing flexibility and convenience for their employees.

We love partnering with companies and organizations for volunteer opportunities. If your organization or company is interested in learning more or getting involved, please click here to download our Good Corporate Citizen packet.
