Good Corporate Citizen: Partnering with Google this Summer

06.11.23 | Food for the Soul

At Holy Apostles, we are supported by neighbors of all kinds – including our wonderful corporate partners who support us by donating both financially to support our mission and by donating their time to provide food for our community.

Our friends at Google have supported our work for years – by donating delicious meals prepared by their culinary team, by volunteering in groups as a team bonding experience, and by supporting our work with financial contributions. Google is a great example of a Good Corporate Citizen – a company that is committed to supporting its neighbors in all of these ways.

This summer, members of the Google family will be joining us for volunteer days of service when their teams will pack and distribute bags of groceries for our Food Pantry guests. Some Googlers have volunteered with Holy Apostles many times and they come back time and time again to support our work.

This month only, Google is matching all gifts made to Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen. That means every dollar you donate will have double the impact, providing two meals for New Yorkers in need. To help us reach Google’s match challenge, click here to donate

When asked about their experience working with Holy Apostles, Angela Pinsky, Google New York’s Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy, said “Every week Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen feeds and supports thousands of New Yorkers with food, care, and critical services. When challenges arise, from COVID to the current surge of migrants and new New Yorkers, they answer the call. We are fortunate to be a part of the neighborhood Holy Apostle Soup Kitchen serves, and are grateful for the opportunity to have Googlers participate in helping them fulfill their mission.”
