Good Corporate Citizen: Stuart Weitzman

At Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, we know it takes a community to make sure that all our neighbors have access to food and the other resources they need. Our Good Corporate Citizen program allows businesses and corporations, specifically those whose offices are based in the Chelsea area of Manhattan, to become a part of that community.

We love having volunteer groups from companies join us for a day of service at the Soup Kitchen. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve had to limit the number of volunteers we host on any given day, and many neighborhood companies have been unable to return. That’s why we’re excited to work with companies to lead remote volunteer opportunities that can take place at their offices. In November, we partnered with Stuart Weitzman to host a volunteer day in their Manhattan offices.

Their team packed peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, which were distributed to New Yorkers living on the streets near Penn Station as part of our Meal Outreach program. Our Meal Outreach program allows us to reach people in need where they are, making sure that they have access to breakfast and lunch sandwiches even when they’re unable to make it to the Soup Kitchen for a hot meal.

If your company is interested in creating a volunteer day from your offices, please reach out to our Manager of Volunteer and Community Services, Steve Fanto
